2024, a year of consolidation
2024 has been a key year for Leartiker, with advances in our strategic lines of research, scientific and technological consolidation, and a renewed commitment to People, the environment and cooperation as a driver of transformation.
In a challenging global context, we have worked with determination to generate useful and sustainable knowledge. We are approaching the objectives set for 2025, which confirms that we are on the right track. Turnover reached 4.3 million euros, and R&D turnover was 3.6 million euros, with 41.9% of projects involving collaboration with companies.
In the scientific field, we have participated in 10 international projects, published 38 articles (21 in Q1 journals) and applied for 9 patents. 43% of the research team is made up of People with PhDs or in the PhD process, reflecting our commitment to excellence.
These achievements are the result of a committed, diverse and qualified team. In 2024, Leartiker had 51 People, 37 of them working partners, and 83% of them dedicated to R&D. With an average age of 39, we combine experience and youth with a vision of the future. We work to attract and retain talent with an inspiring project.
This year we have joined MONDRAGON's new Knowledge Division as a grassroots co-operative, strengthening inter-cooperation and our positioning. In addition, with institutional support, we have expanded infrastructures in strategic areas such as polymers, microfluidics and tissue engineering.
Looking to the future, we are moving forward with a new strategic plan, the creation of technology companies and a benchmark centre for the Basque dairy sector, consolidating our vocation for transformation.
We believe that economic and scientific development must go hand in hand with a real commitment to People, the Community and the Environment. For this reason, we have promoted actions in education, equality, inclusion, sustainability and well-being.
At our headquarters in Markina-Xemein, we maintain our commitment to the Basque language and local identity, participating in community initiatives. Internally, we promote wellbeing with activities such as LTKONKIS, pilates and shared celebrations that strengthen our bonds.
We close the year with satisfaction for what we have achieved and with the certainty that there is still much to build. We are grateful for the commitment of all the People and organisations that form part of Leartiker. As a cooperative, we believe that cooperating continues to be our best tool for building knowledge and the future.
BAGOAZ!
