The INNTERACT project addresses a common challenge within the POCTEFA region: the need to generate knowledge and the limited transfer of biomedical innovation from the research sector to industry, particularly in the fields of Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine. Although there are outstanding scientific and clinical capabilities on both sides of the border, these are fragmented and disconnected, hindering the generation of economic and social impact. The overall objective is to validate three previously developed innovative medical devices, prepare them for market entry, and create a cross-border network (TISSUENET) connecting the main players in the region’s biomedical ecosystem.
The project will be carried out using a comprehensive approach: analysis of the regional context, preclinical and usability validation of the devices, definition of regulatory roadmaps, protection of intellectual property, and the design of transfer strategies. In parallel, TISSUENET will be developed and implemented as a stable, open and sustainable network. Expected outcomes include: devices ready for transfer to companies, consolidated cooperation models, a more connected ecosystem, greater researcher mobility, international visibility and new opportunities for collaboration. The project partners, as well as companies in the health sector, clinical centres, patients and the population of the POCTEFA area, will all benefit.
As project leader, you will be actively involved in all activities. Actions coordinated by Leartiker:
ACTION 1: Project management
ACTION 2: Project communication
ACTION 4: Optimisation of the devices
ACTION 6: Creation of the TISSUNET network
Summary:
- Overall project management (lead partner).
- Optimisation and industrial design of the three devices.
- Technological development and regulation.
- IP protection and market transfer.
- Creation of the cross-border network.
- Active participation in communication, context analysis, and liaison with companies.
