Description

This project is aimed at the agri-food sector and its main objective is to research the potential health benefits of people eating meat and dairy products whose nutritional quality has been improved at source through the fodder fed to animals, by adding locally produced oils and oil cakes.

The main areas of research are aimed at designing fodder for pigs based on oilseeds (rapeseed, flax and sunflower) and obtaining a beneficial and healthy fatty acid profile in meat and milk and subsequently developing dairy and meat products with the aim of researching the impact of eating these products on improving the health of consumers through a nutritional clinical trial.
