Development of a cholangiocarcinoma-on-chip model to study its biology and test new therapies

Project details

Abbreviation: BIL-CHIP

Start date: 2023-04-01End date: 2025-07-31

Budget: 618.428 €

Centre bugdet: 228.156 €

Funding: Elkartek 2023- (Nº expediente: KK-2023/00099)

Description

The aim of BIL-CHIP is to research, prototype and validate a cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) model on a chip (CCA-on-chip), i.e., an experimental model of bile duct cancer that simulates the physiology and microenvironment of the tumour in a small-scale device. It also aims to study the biology of CCA, to monitor the performance of current therapies and to test new therapies.
